Business Challenge And Scope
- Customer receives more than 15000 vendor invoices per month at central processing office.
- All the invoices are scanned and stored in the central folder.
- 6 FTE processes approximately 200 invoices/per day in SAP and send the confirmation to business.
Solution
- We developed bots using Automation Anywhere enterprise.
- First our team of experts analyzed various parameters that needs to be extracted from PDF invoices and created that many variables in workbench.
- We used PDF extractor command to extract the data from PDF into variables.
- Using AA-Smart recorder, we created the Bot to insert data into SAP-Accounts payable module (transaction code MIRO)
- Integrated the PDF extracted variables with smart recorder's variables
Key Accomplishments
- Deployed bots in run time that processes 70% invoices received automatically.
- 5 FTE saving per month resulting into yearly savings of approx 50k USD
